1. 27^thto 30^th July 1999: 1st Workshop on “Update in Medical Education & Human Resource Development” was organized in collaboration with DME, KMC, Manipal (conducted by Prof. K. Ram Narayan & Prof. S. Sudhakar Nayak.

2. 15^thto 17^th September 2000: 2nd Workshop entitled “Teaching & Learning Media & Assessment in Medical Education”, organized by DME, HIMS, Dehradun in collaboration with Dr. Kusum Verma, Dr. B.V. Adkoli & Dr. Rita Sood of the K L Wig Centre for Medical Education and Technology, AIIMS, New Delhi.

Tejinder Singh, Convener, MCI Nodal Centre for Faculty Development was present as an Observer for MCI.

13. 3^rdto 5^th May, 2012: “Workshop on Basic Medical Education” The programme for the workshop was designed on the guidelines as developed & recommended by MCI nominated group of experts for Basic Medical Education Workshops. Dr. Jugesh Chhatwal, of MCI Nodal Centre, CMC Ludhiana, was MCI Observer for this workshop.

14. 17^thto 19^th December, 2012: The programme for the workshop was designed on the guidelines as developed & recommended by MCI nominated group of experts for Basic Medical Education Workshops. Dr. Richa Ghay Thaman, SGRDMC Amritsar, was MCI Observer for this workshop.

15. 29^thto 31^st August, 2013: The programme for the workshop was designed on the guidelines as developed & recommended by MCI for Basic Medical Education Workshops. Dr. Punam Verma, SGRRMC Dehradun, was MCI Observer for this workshop.

16. 10^thto 12^th December, 2013: The programme for the workshop was designed on the guidelines as developed & recommended by MCI for Basic Medical Education Workshops. Dr. Anumeha Bhagat, GMC Chandigarh, was MCI Observer for this workshop.

17. 26^thto 28^th March 2014: The programme for the workshop was designed on the guidelines as developed & recommended by MCI for Basic Medical Education Workshops. Dr. Anumeha Bhagat, GMC Chandigarh, was MCI Observer for this workshop.

The Medical Council of India approved Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun as an MCI Regional Centre in Medical education Technologies (MET), vide letter no. MCI- Academics/2014/62713, dated 06/03/2014.

On 2^nd August 2014, the MCI Regional Centre in MET, HIMS, Dehradun was launched by Dr. Ved Prakash Mishra, Chairman, Academic Committee, MCI. Thirteen Medical Colleges have been allocated to the care of this Centre for training in MET.

Under the Regional Centre following Basic Course Workshop have been held till date:

1. 3^rdto 5^th August, 2014: The programme for the workshop was designed on the guidelines as developed & recommended by MCI for Basic Medical Education Workshops. Dr. Tejinder Singh, Convener, MCI Nodal Centre for Faculty Development, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, was deputed by MCI as Observer for this workshop.

2. 30^thOctober to 1^st November, 2014: The programme for the workshop was designed on the guidelines as developed & recommended by MCI for Basic Medical Education Workshops.Dr. Jugesh Chhatwal, MCI Nodal Centre for Faculty Development, Christian Medical College, Ludhiana, was deputed by MCI as Observer for this workshop.

3. 8^thto 10^th August, 2017: A workshop on “Humanities” was conducted at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, SRHU, Dehradun. Dr. Navjeevan Singh, Purnima Barua, Dr. Satendra Singh, & Dr. Upreet Dhaiwal, were the resource faculties for the workshop.

4. 9^th& 10^th November, 2018: A workshop on “Teaching and Assessment of Professionalism” was conducted at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, SRHU, Dehradun. Dr. Tejinder Singh from CMC, Ludhiana & Dr. Rajiv Mahajan from AIMSR, Bathinda (Punjab), were the resource faculties for the workshop.
