Dr. Renu Dhasmana is a passionate medical educationist with a strong commitment to enhancing teaching-learning practices in undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. With her active involvement in the Medical Education Unit, she has contributed significantly to curriculum planning, faculty development programs, formative and summative assessments, and implementation of innovative teaching strategies such as problem-based learning, flipped classrooms, and early clinical exposure. Her areas of interest include competency-based medical education (CBME), reflective practice, and faculty mentoring. Dr. Dhasmana believes in fostering critical thinking, professionalism, and lifelong learning among medical students and peers alike.

Dr Juhi is a keen educationist. She is the recipient of the ‘Best Teacher award ‘at HIMS and best poste award for educational research at FAIMER. She has taken several initiatives to further the cause of education in the region of Uttarakhand which has gained National interest , like organising the 13th national conference of Health Professions Education ( HPE) in 2022 at HIMS where there were 20 pre-conference workshops and a two-day conference with the theme of “preserving the human connect in an era of technological advancements in Medicine”. Besides this, she has guided students for STS - ICMR Projects and is currently working on the ICMR project on District Residency Program and use of standard treatment workflows in Neonatology and Pediatrics.

Dr. Vijendra Devisingh Chauhan is actively involved in building this Institution from 1994. He is a FAIMER Fellow and a medical educationist.
Apart from being a medical professional (Prof. of Orthopaedics), he conducts regular workshops on ‘Mind, Body & Spirit’ through the Science of Joyful Living programme based on the philosophy of H.H. Dr. Swami Rama. He is a recipient of many National Awards, Fellowships & Honours for his academic work:

Dr. Ashok Kumar Deorari is a distinguished neonatologist, academician, and visionary leader who has dedicated his career to advancing newborn healthcare. Deeply committed to medical education, he pioneered innovative learning programmes for doctors and nurses as early as 2008—well ahead of their time—covering basic newborn care, CPAP, ventilation, multimodal training tools, and app-based and e-learning platforms, all offered free of cost. He has made seminal contributions to the development of standard neonatal treatment protocols and large-scale capacity-building initiatives, while championing evidence-based practice across health systems. Through exceptional leadership, research, and mentorship, Dr. Deorari has profoundly influenced policy, clinical practice, and medical education in India and globally. He spearheaded quality improvement movements at AIIMS, Institutes of National Importance, and WHO SEARO countries. The quality methodology he envisioned is now adopted in middle-income countries and is available as a free certificate e-course (www.pocqi.org). Internationally acclaimed, he has over 300 publications, an H-index of 64, more than 10,000 citations, authored six books, and received numerous prestigious awards.

I am a dedicated medical educator with 35 years of experience in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals. Passionate about integrating innovative teaching-learning tools, I aim to make complex medical concepts engaging and accessible through interactive, fun, and effective learning methods. I am a recipient of Best Teacher Award at HIMS, Dehradun and have been awarded Fellowships of IAFM and ICFMT. My commitment to fostering a positive and stimulating learning environment has helped me mentor countless students and provided me with the satisfaction that I always craved to pursue. Medical education and faculty development are closest to my heart.

As a coauthor of two academic books for medical students, I strive to make complex concepts more accessible. My focus remains on integrating clinical relevance into foundational teaching. I am passionate about advancing medical education through innovation and collaboration.

Dr Deepa is a medical educator focussed around continuously enhancing the quality of medical education to ensure graduates are well prepared for their roles in healthcare. Being a part of various quality control teams in the University she lays importance on use of diverse teaching learning aids to enhance the learning experience & strongly believes that value based education along with a well planned approach for holistic development of an individual is the key factor in improving the quality of medical education in the present era.

Dr. Hemant Kumar Nautiyal is a distinguished academic surgeon with over two decades of experience.Advanced laparoscopic and bariatric/Metabolic Surgery. Dr. Nautiyal has held progressive roles in surgical education and practice, currently serving as Professor and Head of General Surgery at Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences.

He has received multiple fellowships in Minimal Access, Advanced Laparoscopic, and Bariatric Surgery, including international training in China and India’s premier centres like Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Mohak Bariatric Centre. Being an educationist he is also recipient of Advanced course in Medical Education (MCI). He has been awarded Best Clinician by Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences and has been honoured by Uttarakhand Govt as a clinician.
An avid academician, he has been a faculty member and speaker at national and international conferences. Dr. Nautiyal has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, notably in Clinical Obesity, Surgical Obesity and Related Diseases, and Indian Journal of Surgery. He is a reviewer of Pubmed Indexed Journals like Journal of Minimal Access Surgery, International Journal of Surgery etc

I am having 23 years of clinical and 16 years of teaching experience.

Dr. Shailiyas is a dedicated medical educationist and Professor of Community Medicine with with over 14 years of strong academic, research, and mentoring experience. With over 70 publications in reputed national and international journals, two authored books, and ten book chapters to her credit, she brings a rich blend of scholarly insight and teaching experience to the field of public health and medical education. She has also guided students for STS - ICMR Projects Her journey in medical education has been driven by a deep passion for teaching and a vision to transform learning. She firmly believes in learner-centered teaching. Her approach to medical education blends innovation with evidence-based methods, and she is particularly invested in capacity-building through CME programs, quizzes, and collaborative learning platforms.

I am a dedicated educationist in the field of medical education. I am passionate about integrating innovative digital tools to enhance students' learning. I wish to make my session more engaging and enjoyable bringing clarity and curiosity among the learners. I actively adopt emerging technologies and continuously refine my methods based on student feedback to ensure meaningful learning experience.

Dr. Atul is a dedicated medical professional serving as a teacher and clinician at SRHU, with an active role in DME. He is committed to excellence in medical education, clinical practice, and mentoring future healthcare professionals, contributing to academic growth and quality patient care. 

A Pediatric Surgeon by profession & interest, I have an equal flair and inclination towards teaching as well. Apart from teaching undergraduates in a conventional environment (i.e. in lecture theater), I am passionately interested in bedside clinical teaching, practical training in operating room, and out-of-the-box mentoring of postgraduate residents.
